Alicia Keys’ 11th Annual Black Ball Raises $2.3 million

Screen Shot 2014-11-02 at 1.40.31 AMOn Thursday, October 30th, Alicia Keys’ held the 11th annual Black Ball for her Keep A Child Alive (“KCA”) charity foundation at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The evening was hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs and Swizz Beatz.

Guests included Nas, Lala Anthony, Madonna, Kanye West, Gayle King, Aretha Franklin, Clive Davis, André Leon Talley, Lorraine Schwartz just to name a few. The evening included performances by Alicia Keys, Nas, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Angel Haze and David Byrne.

This year the KCA honored Givenchy’s Creative Director, Riccardo Tisci for his humanitarian work.

The evening was extremely successful as $2.3 million was raised to provide medications to impoverished African families.
