Apparently Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and others are now victims of a nude photo scandal over this past weekend. E!News reports that Lawrence, Upton, and Winstead’s phones were hacked and photos were leaked online. The FBI has opened an investigation to find those responsible for leaking the private photos.
Celebrities such as Lena Durham and Emma Watson have both released statements in support of the targeted actresses.
Durham twitted, “The way in which you share your body must be a CHOICE. Support these women and do not look at these pictures.” “Remember, when you look at these pictures you are violating these women again and again. It’s not okay.”
Watson twitted, “Even worse than seeing women’s privacy violated on social media is reading the accompanying comments that show such a lack of empathy.”
It wasn’t too long ago that Scarlett Johansson, and Mila Kunis were hacked and nude photos of them were leaked online. In this day and age, there is no such thing as privacy especially for celebrities, so I’m never surprised when incidents like this happen. Honestly as a celebrity you have to be smarter about the things you do.
